Why Concern About Islamic Terrorism in the USA

Quite often I am told that we shouldn’t be so worried about Islamic Terrorism in the United States because domestic terrorism amounts to more terrorist events than Islamic terrorism.  Statistics show that Islamic terrorist events in the United States amount to 18 incidents since 1-1-2001, while Non-Islamic terrorist events amount to 87 incidents since 1-1-2001.  Where the difference comes in is the population base that these terrorist events are generated from.  The Non-Islamic Terrorist events are generated from a population of 313.23 Million people. The Islamic Terrorist events are generated from a population of 2.77 million people.  This means that there is a rate of .0433 terrorist events for every 100,000 Muslim population, while there are only .0018 terrorist events per 100,000 population for Non-Islamic terrorist event.  This means that Islamic Terrorism is 23.636 times more likely to occur from Muslim population than from Non-Muslim population.  This is concerning.

Islam has a concept that is found in no other religion, jihad.  Many Imams espouse that the pinnacle of Islam is jihad.  Jihad is translated as war or fight by Islamic scholars.  It always has an antecedent. This means that it is always something done against others.  One of the key verses in Islam is Quran 8:39, “And jihad [fight] them until there is no fitnah [disbelief] and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah. And if they cease - then indeed, Allah is seeing of what they do.”  This is not all there is either.  The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule.  These verses are not about only the current battles that Islamic leaders were experiencing at the time of Muhammed, but the verses of violence in the Quran are mostly open-ended, meaning that they are not restrained by the historical context of the surrounding text.  Some more examples are as follows:

Quran (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief or unrest] is worse than killing...

but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful.   And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone.  But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimun (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)"   The verse prior to this (190) refers to "fighting for the cause of Allah those who fight you" leading some to believe that the entire passage refers to a defensive war in which Muslims are defending their homes and families.  The historical context of this passage is not defensive warfare, however, since Muhammad and his Muslims had just relocated to Medina and were not under attack by their Meccan adversaries.

Quran (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not."  Not only does this verse establish that violence can be virtuous, but it also contradicts the myth that fighting is intended only in self-defense, since the audience was obviously not under attack at the time.  From the Hadith, we know that this verse was narrated at a time that Muhammad was actually trying to motivate his people into raiding merchant caravans for loot.

Quran (3:151) - "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority".  This speaks directly of polytheists, yet it also includes Christians, since they believe in the Trinity (ie. what Muhammad incorrectly believed to be 'joining companions to Allah').

Quran (4:74) - "Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward."  The martyrs of Islam are unlike the early Christians, who were led meekly to the slaughter.  These Muslims are killed in battle as they attempt to inflict death and destruction for the cause of Allah.  This is the theological basis for today's suicide bombers.

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"  No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle.

I could go on here, but another has already done this work and it can be found here: http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/quran/023-violence.htm

These verses are being used to justify Islamic Terrorism in the United States, Europe and around the world.  Some examples can be found in this article: http://baumgarp.wix.com/paulsworld#!islamic-terrorists-are-still-islamic-ter/t40xk

The religious justification that Islamic scriptures give for global conquest using terrorism are very concerning.

Islam has a history of conquest expressly for the purposes of not just spreading its religion, but also for the material benefit of themselves.

Beginning in January 623, some of the Muslims resorted to the tradition of raiding the Meccan caravans that traveled along the eastern coast of the Red Sea from Mecca to Syria.

In AD 627, Muhammad committed an atrocity against the last remaining major tribe of Jews in Medina: the Qurayza.  He beheaded the men and the pubescent boys and enslaved the women and children. In doing this, he wiped an entire tribe "off the map" to use the language of the President of Iran, recently.  He justified taking their possessions in Sura 33:25-27.

In 630 AD, Muhammad conquers Mecca from his base in Medina.

In 632 AD, Muhammed dies, but his followers continue his practice of conquest.  By 636 AD, Muslims conquest of Syria, and the surrounding lands, all Christian – including Palestine and Iraq.

By 637 AD, Muslim Crusaders conquer Iraq.

By 638 AD, Muslim Crusaders conquer and annex Jerusalem, taking it from the Byzantines.

A list of Islamic conquest up to the crusades can be found here: https://factreal.wordpress.com/2010/02/12/muslim-crusades-started-four-centuries-before-the-western-crusades/

The following video is also highly recommended:

The conquest of Spain typifies the nature of all Islamic conquests since Muhammed:

The bloodiest Islamic conquest should be remembered as the conquest of India:

The Islamic conquests historically included beheading all the men of complete civilizations, enslaving the children and wives, taking possessions of the conquered, making sex slaves of women, committing other atrocities such as making necklaces of a child’s organs and placing it on its mother to force the mother to convert to Islam, displaying the heads of those conquered on poles and carrying them around like a trophy, killing innocent people from the start to bring the population into submission, and raping the women in front of their men before beheading the men.  The means of Islamic conquest is very concerning.

Muslims have continued their goal of Islamic conquest in these modern times.

In 2004, a document was found that outlined the Islamic takeover of the United States.  This discovery led to the arrest and conviction of over 100 people.

The Muslim Brotherhood currently is still promoting violence as a legitimate reaction to poverty and inequality.

An Islamic organization, in recent years, took over portions of Iraq and Syria and repeated all the atrocities of Muslim conquest known to history.  They call themselves the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.  They made a practices of posting videos of their gruesome murders on the Internet, including the murder of 200 children at one time.  They claim to be forming the Islamic Caliphate as commanded by their prophet Muhammad.  They made associations in other countries like Libya, Nigeria, and Kenya.  They claim to be directing infiltrators into Europe and America through Syrian refugees.  They directed the Friday the 13th Massacre in Paris, and they inspired the San Bernadino Massacre.  For 1,400 years, Islam has not been a religion, but a system of conquest, and it still is.  Now there is an argument that Muslims will say that ISIS is not Islamic.  Oh, really?  Why are they so much like the prophet Muhammad?  If ISIS is not Islamic, then why have other Islamics Not executed them for Apostacy?

Some people may bring up the idea that right-wing terrorism is more of a threat in the USA than Islamic Terrorism.  This is simply not true.  Since 1/1/2000, right-wing terrorists have killed 27 people in the USA, Islamic Terrorists have killed 3,029 people in the USA, and other domestic terrorists have killed 202 people in the USA.

In conclusion, we should be concerned about Islamic Terrorism in the USA, very concerned.
