Americans Fear Corrupt Government Officials More Than Terrorist Attacks
Underlining the public mood of the 2016 presidential race is widespread disgust with candidates loyal to big-ticket donors instead of the voters they court with false promises.
Grassroots Republicans know that so-called immigration reform is a trick perpetuated by big donors who want cheap foreign labor at the expense of hard-working American workers and taxpayers. They also know that far-reaching trade deals are designed to fill the coffers of big business and send jobs to the low-wage third world.
This is a form of corruption that goes beyond bribery and extortion, the favorites of garden-variety public officials. Manipulating voters for the gains of individuals, special interests, and political parties is institutional corruption at its best.
