Armed man attacked military camp in Belgium
A car drove Monday morning through the barriers of the military camp in Flawinne (Namur), said the prosecutor of Roi de Namur. The prosecutor declined to provide further information. "It's under investigation," he said. According to sources, a man drove up to the entrance to the barracks, his face hidden by a ski mask. The guards noticed not only his outfit, but also that the man was holding what looked like a detonator. Immediately, the guards moved away from the vehicle. Taking advantage of the confusion, the attacker smashed the barriers and drove for some time in the perimeter of the barracks, before extracting the vehicle. Several shots were fired. With a manhunt underway, he ran away from the car, slipping under fences and running away across the fields.
